Greetings to you from the Middle East. Rebekah and I are once again on another mission. We arrived in the city of Istanbul, Turkey a few days ago to minister the Message of the Hour in this, our 3rd Muslim country. Turkey is rich with ancient history. On the door step of Palestine, it is a nation predominantly featured in the Word of God as the gospel went forth from Jerusalem to Antioch, Ephesus and the other 7 Churches of Revelations. It is also home of “Nicea”, site of the first religious council.
Istanbul, formerly known as “Constantinople”, was the capital of the Roman Empire under Constantine. Conquered by the Ottoman Empire in the 1500’s, it became the centre of the whole world of Islam until its liberation after World War I. Accordingly, the population of about 65 million people today are 99% Muslim. Yet, there are a few here who believe in Jesus Christ and the bible. Now is the season of time that God has brought the witness of a Gentile prophet to this Islamic nation.
In the midst of this massive sea of humanity under Islam, God has shown Himself to the owner and operator of the only Christian Radio station in Turkey. To abbreviate a long story, brother Czarek and Daniel, from Poland, first established a relationship with the owner, Brother Mustafa. Over the course of time they were also able to work with him to have the book A Prophet Visits South Africa translated and printed in Turkish – the first ever of anything identifying the prophet sent to the Gentiles in these last days.
Acquainted with their work, Rebekah and I included a brief stop here on our way to the Ukraine for the special dedication meetings in Donetsk with Brother Byskal. Thus far I have been invited to minister in two of the legally established churches. Mustafa also hosted us for an interview on his radio program that reaches nearly 25 million people in Turkey. During the course of this broadcast I was able to speak openly of the “voice” in the last days calling a people back to the Word of God.
This is one of the most incredible opportunities to spread the Message that I have ever encountered. Brother Mustafa spoken openly of his burden to have more of Brother Branham’s messages available in Turkish. He said, “The nation of Turkey is my cross. God has given me a burden to help the Christians and people of Turkey to know the truth of God’s Word more clearly. Brother Branham’s ministry in the Word is what our people need.”
It thrills me when I consider the prospects of being able to broadcast and distribute the same gospel message Paul preached 2000 years ago – in the cities of Ephesus, Philadelphia and even Laodecia. Surely this is something important in the mind of God as Brother Branham said the gospel must complete the cycle as the sun does - and return to the East again. How close are we to completing the cycle?
Though we already have more work than we can handle, the Word of God must be heard even in this dark, Islamic nation. Please remember this need and share it with others as we believe very much in the power of prayer!
Thank you and God bless you richly.
Brother Tony & Sister Rebekah
